50 Best Audible Plus Books included in your membership (2026)
Have you been wondering what audiobooks are included in the Audible Plus Catalog? Maybe you’re deciding whether or not to sign up for Audible and want to know if it’s worth it. Or maybe you’re already a member, and you find yourself scrolling through the options feeling uninspired.
Amazon advertises that there are 11,000 audiobook titles available to members in their Audible Plus catalog (that means, audiobooks that are included with subscription, no credit required). But it can get overwhelming trying to sift through the choices to find the best Audible Plus books, ones you really want to listen to.
I’ve been an on-again off-again Audible user for many years now, and I have a complicated relationship with it. I recently published a deep dive to answer the question: Is Audible Worth It? And to give you some Audible hacks to save money if you want to give it a try.
Now, I want to help you find the best Audible Plus books so you can decide once and for all whether to join, and for current Audible Plus subscribers, to help you find your next great audiobook listen.
Important Update | May, 2026
My lists of the best 2024 titles and best 2025 titles helped tens of thousands of your find your next audiobook listen, but once again, Audible switched up their included offerings quite a bit at the beginning of 2026. Many titles have left while new ones have been introduced.
In general, I’d say the included titles have decreased in value. They seem to be moving toward only including Audible Exclusives rather than some of the big name titles that have been available in previous years. Still, you might find some that appeal to you.
I’ve gone through every title on this list to remove those that are no longer available on Audible Plus and to find the best titles that are newly included.
This list of Audible Plus recommendations includes:
- Audiobooks I’ve listened to and loved
- Books I’ve read and loved but haven’t personally listened to
- Books I found in the Audible Plus library that other listeners love and I can’t wait to listen to
So really, this list is also for myself to reference when I just don’t know what I’m in the mood to listen to. I’ve covered a range of genres of audiobooks in this list of the best Audible Plus books, but you’ll see an emphasis on classic literature and popular fiction (those are, after all, my personal preferred genres).

Audible Plus includes an impressive amount of classic literature, which can be a really good introduction to the classics if you’ve been intimidated by starting them. One fun things Audible has been doing is having actors and actresses read the audiobooks, which makes them really current and fun (for example, Elijah Wood reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain).
Note: The Audible Plus library changes with some frequency, so while I will try to keep this list updated, please understand that an audiobook may no longer be available in the Audible Plus library. This list is updated as of January, 2025.
Don’t forget to pin this post for later so you can reference it next time you need some Audible Plus recommendations.

As always, this post may contain affiliate links, which means at no additional cost to you, shopping from them may generate small commissions to support the operations of this blog.
Whenever possible, I recommend buying books at local bookshops or through Bookshop.org, because shopping there puts the profits right into the hands of indie bookstores all over the country.
I realize this post gives insight into the popular Amazon Audible membership, but I always recommend balancing out any book money spent on Amazon with support of indie bookstores and libraries. An Amazon monopoly on books isn’t good for anyone, including readers.
Popular Fiction
The books included with Audible Plus include a surprising amount of popular fiction. Now, don’t expect to find the latest releases and bestsellers for free (that’s what your monthly credits are for!), but I’ve been able find some very popular fiction titles. These are some of the best Audible Plus books, and it might surprise you which ones are free!

Classic Audiobooks on Audible Plus
If you’ve been wanting to read more of the “classics” but are intimidated by them, an audiobook version can be a great entry point. I really believe nothing rivals sitting and reading the classics, highlighter or pen in hand, ready to annotate, but listening to a great reading can be its own magical experience.
These classics are some of the best books on Audible Plus, and there are so many to choose from. As I mentioned before, I love that Audible has been releasing Audible Signature Performances. These are new recordings of classic literature performed by actors. Not only do they often give a great reading, but it also can bring a comforting touch of familiarity to what can be an intimidating experience.
Audible is always adding more classics to the library, but these are some of my top Audible Plus recommendations for classic literature.
