9 Great Gifts for Tea Lovers
If you’re wondering what on earth to buy for a tea lover this holiday season, I’ve got you covered.
As a full-blown tea addict (and somewhat of a tea connoisseur) as well as someone who just loves gift giving, I’m going to make your life a lot easier here and help you come up with some great gifts for your favorite tea lover.
Each of these gift ideas is affordable, practical, and sure to please a tea drinker. But as always, the more you know about them, the better your gift will be. For example, knowing whether they prefer black, green, or herbal teas can be helpful to know. Similarly, if you know whether they prefer loose leaf teas or bagged teas, that can go a long way to helping you narrow down these choices for tea lovers.
And since we love books here, too, I’ll give you options for each gift idea to add a bookish twist, in the off chance the person you’re shopping for happens, like me, to love both.
Make sure you pin this post to reference as you shop for your special someone.

As always, this post may contain affiliate links, which means at no additional cost to you, shopping from them may generate small commissions to support the operations of this blog.
Whenever possible, I recommend buying books at local bookshops or through Bookshop.org, because shopping there puts the profits right into the hands of indie bookstores all over the country.
Tea advent calendar

For this gift idea, you’ve got to plan early. But December just sounds so much cozier with a new cuppa to try every day until Christmas. If the person you’re shopping for loves trying new teas, then a tea advent calendar is one of the best gifts for tea lovers.
Check out this classy tea advent calendar from Whittard, one of my favorite tea companies. Their teas are all delicious and high quality, so this gets one of my top recommendations. This is a loose leaf calendar this year, so make sure your tea lover has the necessary supplies for loose leaf.
On Amazon, you can also find several options, including this one by Palais de Thé, a French company. It is in a gorgeous advent box and has 24 single estate teas.
Another popular tea company, which has even appeared on Oprah’s famous “Favorite Things” lists is Vadham tea. They sell several different types of tea advent calendars for different tastes.
If you want to shop from small creators, make sure you plan ahead, but there’s several tea advent calendars you can purchase on Etsy.
Themed tea
Another fun gift idea for tea lovers is to get them a tea that ties in with one of their other interests or hobbies. If they are a book lover, there are tons of bookish tea companies (check out my list of favorites) to choose from.
One of my favorite literary tea companies is Simpson & Vail, a small New England-based company. They have an incredible line of high quality teas, and not only literary tea. They also have a line of National Park teas that would be great for an avid hiker,

If your tea lover is interested in travel, try this Around the World set of tea. Just get creative! There’s a themed tea out there for just about everyone.
Literary Tea Towel
Tea towels are one of the most useful things you can keep in the kitchen, especially as a tea lover. Why settle for boring ones, though, when there are bookish tea towels out there? I love a good literary tea towel when it comes to gifts for tea and book lovers. Check out this tea towel featuring a Jane Austen quote:
There’s also this whimsical, bookish tea towel featuring part of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
Bookish tea-shirt
I love a good graphic tee, especially one that shows off the things I love. There are some positively adorable tea and book-lover tees on the internet right now, and if you know your loved one’s preferred size and tshirt style, then these can make great gifts for tea and book lovers. A reservation for afternoon tea
A tea lover will most likely love any tea-related product, but if you really want to surprise and delight them, book an afternoon or other tea service experience for them to go to in person. This is a thoughtful, lovely gift for tea and book lovers.
Find a cute place within 30 minutes, and let them know you booked it! You can even write that down on a cute piece of paper and wrap that up if you want them to have something to open.
If you’re not sure of their schedule, you can always get them a gift card to the restaurant, or just call the restaurant ahead of time and let them know that you will be paying whenever they come in.
If you’re near Savannah, Georgia, there are some cute tea shops there. If you’re near London, check out the Library afternoon tea or one of these unique, themed afternoon teas in London.
Well, that about does it for this year! Any great gift ideas for tea and book lovers I missed? Let me know!
